What if my loved on is resistant to this level of assistance?

This situation arises quite often. Many times, slowly building up to assistance with personal care can be beneficial. We usually recommend starting with some companionship and light housekeeping. This allows time to foster a relationship built on trust. Once established, your loved one may become more readily accepting of personal care.

Do I need special equipment for personal care?

Often the answer to this question is “no”, but the specifics of your loved one’s needs will dictate whether or not assistive devices are required. The RN will include this in her care plan report.

My loved one is not mobile. Can he/she still receive personal care services at home?

Absolutely! Your RN will establish a care plan with specific instructions for our caregivers based on your loved one’s abilities and needs.
