With 35 years of experience in retail, hospital, and long-term pharmacy, Jeff brings an exceptional depth of healthcare knowledge to his work.
Beyond his professional work, Jeff has been deeply involved in community organizations including Leadership Tuscarawas, Newcomerstown Rotary Club, Journey’s End Ministries, and the Tuscarawas County Senior Service Network. This was my first opportunity to use the services of 2nd Family and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future. The care was easy to arrange, the responsiveness from the office staff was timely and the costs were all explained up front.
2nd Family was suggested to me by another care agency located in Baltimore. I called the 1st week of January to request help with my husband. He had spent 6 weeks in Sinai Hospital + 1 month in rehab. He remained quite deconditioned + preferred to care for him at home. After my 1st conversation with 2nd Family, their wheels started turning. Forms were sent for me to fill out, an RN was sent to our home to assess our needs and help for us was arranged within a week. I was impressed with the kindness + warmth I received over the phone but also with professionalism + efficiency. All of our caregivers have been attentive + motivated to help. We now have a consistent caregiver who we love. I know my husband is well taken care of when I leave the house.
Service was excellent from beginning to end. Nurses and Nurse Aides were top notch. App made it easy to use – changing schedule was a breeze. Nurse Aides always showed up on time and did a great job.

Who is eligible for the Ohio home care waiver?
There are many advantages to choosing in-home care. For seniors over 60, other waivers such as PASSPORT and the Assisted Living Waiver may apply. Eligibility is based on both medical need and financial criteria.
