Our Services
Personal Care Services for the Elderly

Help with daily tasks to help maintain health, happiness, and independence

Everyone deserves the right to live independently in their own home. Sometimes, due to illness, injury, or natural aging, older adults need a little extra help to remain independent.

2nd Family’s Personal Care services provide support with the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, brushing teeth, using the toilet, and taking medication. Let our team take the worry of personal care away with reliable services designed to maintain your loved one’s well-being and preserve an optimal quality of life.

Professional personal hygiene care services

Family caregivers are often uncomfortable helping an older relative bathe, get dressed, or use the toilet. With our personal care services, we’ll assist your loved one with these essential tasks while ensuring that dignity is respected at all times. Our caregivers will also help with personal grooming, including assistance with hair and teeth brushing, face shaving, makeup application, and picking out a comfortable wardrobe. Our goal is to help your loved one feel clean, confident, and ready for the day.

Companion care services

Older people who live alone risk becoming disconnected and isolated from others, especially if the senior is experiencing illness or mobility issues. 2nd Family offers companion support to seniors with companion services that keep your loved one engaged, happy, and entertained.

Medication reminders

More than 75 percent of seniors take in excess of four pills per day. That can be too many pills to manage correctly, especially if the person has a cognitive condition such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.

Your 2nd Family caregivers will provide reminders for your loved one’s prescription and non-prescription medications to ensure that the proper doses are taken at the scheduled times. Our goal is to protect that special person’s well-being by eliminating medication errors and harm from accidental misuse.

Support for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia patients

Performing ADLs can be particularly frustrating for people with progressive cognitive conditions. Our caregivers have completed specialized training to help your loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia thrive at home and potentially experience a slowdown of cognitive impairment symptoms.

We also provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, and other tasks where your loved one needs a helping hand. Our goal is to make the dementia journey easier for families and help that special person experience days full of joy.

Home care for seniors

Elevate your loved one’s ability to stay independent with 2nd Family’s home care services. Our caregivers help with nutritious meal preparation, light housekeeping, and safe transportation and accompaniment to medical appointments, social gatherings, grocery shopping, and much more.
