Every potential member of our caregiving team must possess not only the essential certifications – including Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and CPR licenses – but also a valid driver’s license and auto insurance. All caregivers are:

• Licensed with the state of Maryland
• Possess a valid CPR certificate
• Have a driver’s license and car insurance
• Insured and bonded through 2nd Family of Central Maryland
• Oriented and vetted by the Director of Nursing
• Continually trained and coached by our Care Coordinators

Upon successfully navigating the initial phase, each caregiver embarks on an immersive orientation course. Our Director of Nursing, a beacon of knowledge and compassion, personally connects with each caregiver. The Continuum of Growth: Ongoing Learning and Support

The learning journey for our caregiving team is continuous. They receive ongoing training and support, tailored not just to uphold standards, but to exceed them. Our Care Coordinators play a pivotal role in this. They provide regular informal training sessions, updates on best practices in senior care, and emotional support that is vital in this heartfelt profession. Since our Care Coordinators manage the care provided to each client, the training and feedback is targeted, personalized, and in real time. Camille Dixon has worked with 2nd Family of Central Maryland since March 2022. She is a favorite amongst all clients that she attends for her kind heart, compassion, and dedication to care. She ensures that she takes her time with each of her clients, completing all ADLs and tasks, and is not afraid to ask for more tasks to complete around the clients home to further assist the client and family members. Aside from completing tasks, Camille gets to know her clients and knows how to handle difficult situations if they were to arise with grace – always ensuring to keep the clients dignity in mind. With each client that she attends, Camille is very quickly deemed a part of the client’s family. She is an exceptional representation of a 2nd Family caregiver and we are extremely thankful for her contributions and dedication to the clients she serves.
