The 2nd Family story begins much like yours – we wanted the best care for a family member who needed support.
When our grandmother was in need of in-home Alzheimer’s disease care, we struggled to find the optimal level of care we felt our grandmother needed. It was a frustrating and emotionally-draining experience that made us wonder how many other families were going through the same challenge we were. We also felt genuine empathy for families that had to settle for insufficient care because the choice of quality options was few or non-existent.
We knew there could be an easier way for families to have peace of mind when arranging for home care. So, we set out to ensure that families have access to the best home care available, delivered with unprecedented levels of empathy, compassion, and transparency.
With a dedicated passion for making caregiving a better experience for everyone involved, the 2nd Family story was born.

Cousins Joshua Markland and Chad Tracey are the Founders of 2nd Family. Their mission to provide an exceptional care experience centers around highly-trained caregivers managed by RN Care Coordinators who use technology to keep every aspect of care organized, updated, and accessible.
