Our Story Why I Believe in Home Care: A Lifelong Lesson from My Grandmother and Parents
My connection to home care began with my own family. I watched my grandmother live to 99 years old, and in her final stretch I saw how profoundly important it was to have the right caregivers and loved ones around her. My parents are now both in their 80s, and what keeps them thriving is staying deeply connected to friends and family. My wife and I regularly spend time with two of their social groups—a VFW circle of older veterans and a breakfast club called the ROMEOs (“Real Old Men Eating Out”), who meet four mornings a week. Being part of their world has given me a front-row seat to how much companionship, routine, and community matter as people age.
